A key to the success of the Department of Information Engineering research and
education program is the involvement with international and national research
networks. To this end, staff members each have funding to attract on a competitive
basis one visitor for one month or so in each year.
The Department will offer study leave involvement with any Australian
academic in the area of Information Engineering. Funding support is not guaranteed,
but there may be some funds available depending on the expected contribution
in research and in graduate teaching to the Department.
International visitors for longer than one month or so are also welcome,
but usually only with outside financial support or with minimal support
from the Department.
Short term visitors from one day to one week or so are also supported from
a limited budget.
